Certification for information and communication
equipment is implemented based on Article 33 of the "Telecommunications
Basic Act" and Article 46 and 57 of the "Radio
Waves Act" For equipment specified in Article 3 of
the "Regulation for Certification of Information
and Communication Equipment", should be certified
and affixed with the required label in order to manufacture,
import or sell.

Type Approval
(Telecom and electrical safety test are applied
additionally, some equipment needs EMI and EMS test) Radio equipment:
1) Radio equipment related with human life such as Automatic
warning receivers installed on ships.
Type official approval
(Can be tested only in Radio Research Laboratory (RRL))
2) Radio equipment not being related with human life such as
moble phone etc.
Type Registration
Information equipment: PC, printer, monitor
EMC registration
(EMI and EMS test is applied.)
To acquire certification, at first, you must receive a
test report from the Radio Research Laboratory (RRL) or designated
test laboratory, and apply for certification to RRL.

Test for equipment requiring Type Official approval should
be applied to Radio Research Laboratory (RRL) In case appication
for test is submitted to RRL, No additional required documents
are necessary.
